More updates to follow, soonish.
I'm excited to announce that I'm recording my third album THIS WEEKEND! I've worked for a really long time to make this happen, and I hope it ends up coming out at least as good as it sounds in my head.
More updates to follow, soonish.
I'm excited to announce that studio time has been booked for the new album, and I'll be recording it this July. That may seem like a ways off, but there's a lot of work to be done between now and then. Once again, I'm looking at recording sixteen tracks, although if there's time, I might be able to get a couple of extra things done while I'm there. It's going to be an amazing process, and I can't wait for everyone to hear it.
I'm finally tracking songs for the follow-up to Medium Pimpin', which will ideally be recorded sometime in 2017. There should be around 15 or 16 songs on this album, and hopefully they'll all be funny. I'm finally getting around to recording a couple of classics, as well as some of the songs I've been performing more over the last year and a handful of songs that haven't been played live yet.
Unlike the last two albums, there will not be a Kickstarter to raise money for the recording process, since I'll be funding the album myself. However, once it's done, I'll most likely create a PledgeMusic account (or something similar) where the album can be preordered, along with some other goodies.
I'm also looking for vocal tracks for one of the songs to be recorded for this album, so if you're interested, contact me through the "contact" link to the left.
More updates as they develop! Woo!
After a few months of relative uncertainty, we've finally got dates for my third one-man show which I'm lovingly calling Hebrew Rhetoric: An Evening Of Music, Comedy And A Third Thing. The show will take place at a brand new theater called The SIC Sense, and you can catch it on Friday, July 29th and Saturday, July 30th at 7:30pm. You can buy tickets for $7 online (just hop over to the Home page and click on my picture there), or for $10 at the door.
I look forward to entertaining you at Hebrew Rhetoric, and I really really wish I'd thought of a second half of this sentence.
About a week and a half ago, the sessions began for Medium Pimpin', and they'll continue this Saturday. After that, we'll start mixing and mastering the album, and (if all goes according to plan), it'll be out sometime this summer! Check back for updates as they develop.
It's official: I'm going back into the studio to record a new album. I'm calling it Medium Pimpin', and it'll hopefully be released this summer. I'm so excited I can't stand it. This album is going to be incredible; thanks to everyone who's supported me so far in making it happen.
The fundraiser came and went, and unfortunately, it's not happening yet. I'll probably give it another shot on a more reputable, less potato-salady site sometime around the new year. In the meantime, I've begun performing new songs that were written for the (hopefully) forthcoming album, and they've been going over exceptionally well. I don't have a ton of shows lined up currently, mostly because I've been going out of town a lot and gearing up for the holiday barrage that seems to encapsulate the final quarter of each year. But I'm still working on plenty of tricks and such, and I can't wait to unleash the stuff I've got in store. I'll keep you posted.
Starting July 1st, I'll be launching a new Kickstarter fundraiser to help support my forthcoming second album. There are going to be lots of new rewards that you can pick up, including posters, hats, handwritten song lyrics, and even instruments that will be used to record the album! I'll post a link
...and so far it's quite good. I'm also revamping some older, unreleased songs. Once these songs are relatively written, I'll start composing the drum and keyboard parts, and soon we might just have another fundraiser on our hands. I'll keep you posted.
It's been a while since I've posted anything, but that's because I've been lying in wait. And by that, I mean "really drunk". But there's good news to be had! I'm performing on Saturday, April 12th at Stand Up Scottsdale at 7:30pm. It's a $10 show, and it should be an absolute blast. I'm also proud to confirm that I'll be performing at this year's Phoenix ComiCon, although I'm not totally sure what day or time yet. Please keep checking back for updates on that.
In the meantime, scottgesser.com has a STORE!!! You can buy a physical or digital copy of Admiral Vanilla online now. I've also begun writing new material and eventually (as in sometime after summer officially starts) I'll begin working on a full-fledged album again.
There's a lot going on these days. Here's hoping I can keep up.
Here's the latest stuff that's happening in my universe. I hope it makes you happy.
